Banking & lending

AI and software for banking & lending.

Loan files, borrowing bases and covenants checked as documents arrive, so bankers see the exceptions, not the paperwork.

What we build
  • Loan file review
  • Borrowing base
  • Covenant tracking

Sound familiar?

Where the time goes.

Banks, lenders and private credit funds make decisions on documents: applications, financial statements, aging reports, appraisals and closing packages. We build software that reads them, checks them against your credit policy and shows where every number came from, so your team moves faster and keeps a clean record for the examiners.

  • Files that stall before closing

A loan waits on one missing document, and nobody sees it until the closing date slips.

  • Borrowing bases rebuilt every month

Aging reports are re-keyed into a spreadsheet to work out what the borrower can draw.

  • Covenants tracked in a calendar

Ratios are checked by hand, late, and only when someone remembers.

Example: a fictional borrowing base certificate for Calder Supply Co., dated September 30, on a $25.0M asset-based line. Eligible receivables of $18.4M at an 85% advance rate give $15.64M, eligible inventory of $9.6M at 50% gives $4.80M, and $0.84M of reserves come off, for a borrowing base of $19.60M. Invoice #4471, $1.2M, is now 94 days old, past the 90-day line, so it drops out of eligible receivables; with $17.10M outstanding, headroom falls by $1.02M, from $3.52M to $2.50M, and the fuel-gauge needle drops to match. A covenant check shows fixed-charge coverage of 1.12x against a 1.10x minimum, close to the line, so it is sent to the relationship manager for review, with every figure traced to the aging report, the inventory count and the loan system. A person reviews it; nothing goes to the borrower automatically.

Example A borrowing base read from an aging report, an invoice ageing out of it, and the covenant flagged for a banker. Fictional borrower.

Use cases

What we would build for you.

  • Automation

    The headroom gauge

    The situation
In asset-based lending, what a borrower can draw depends on receivables and inventory that change every day. Invoices age past 90 days and drop out of the base, and the borrower finds out when a draw is refused.
    What we build
A reader for aging reports and inventory counts that recalculates the borrowing base as they arrive and flags any covenant near its limit. The relationship manager reviews before anything goes to the borrower.

The moment One invoice crosses 90 days, and the gauge shows what that does to availability, with every number traced to the report.

  • Custom apps

    The closing train

    The situation
A commercial loan closes only when every car is on the track: appraisal, title, insurance, entity documents and signatures. One late document stops the whole train, and nobody sees which one until the date slips.
    What we build
A closing checklist that reads each document as it lands, ticks it off against the loan's conditions and tells the right person what is still missing.

The moment Three weeks out, the board shows the only thing holding the closing is the insurance certificate, and who has to send it.

  • Data

    Covenant vital signs

    The situation
Quarterly statements arrive in every format. Someone spreads them by hand to check the ratios, and a breach is found a month after it happened.
    What we build
Statement spreading that reads the financials, calculates each covenant and shows the trend, with the source of every cell. Credit approves every result.

The moment A coverage ratio drifting toward its minimum, two quarters before it breaks.

How it works

How a loan file moves without the chasing.

  1. 01Follow one loanWe trace a loan from application to funding, and note every document, check and hand-off along the way.
  2. 02Write down the credit rulesWhat each document must show, and which exceptions need a person, agreed with your credit and operations teams.
  3. 03Read and checkStatements, aging reports and closing documents are read as they arrive and checked, with every figure linked to its page.
  4. 04A banker decidesExceptions go to the right person with the evidence attached, and every decision is recorded for audit and exam.

Common questions

What people ask us first.

Does it make credit decisions?
No. It reads, checks and flags. Your credit team decides, and the evidence behind every flag is one click away.
Will it work with our loan system?
Most loan origination and servicing systems offer a way in, such as an API or a scheduled export. We confirm yours during discovery.
How is customer data protected?
We work inside environments you approve, under your security and vendor-risk requirements, and agree in writing how data is handled before any work starts.
