What was going on
Lenders have to confirm that a property's flood insurance meets the loan's requirements. That means reading the declarations page, finding the coverage, deductible and policy dates, and comparing them with the loan file by hand.
What we built
- A reader for the policy declarations page that links each value to the place on the page it came from.
- Coverage checks against the loan's requirements, including the building limit and the policy period.
- A review screen that shows a shortfall and its evidence side by side, for a person to decide.
What it does
- Turns a scanned or digital policy into checked, structured data.
- Shows where every figure came from, so a reviewer can confirm it in one look.
- Leaves the decision with a person.
